Helse Fonna HF comprises four hospitals in Haugesund, Stord, Odda and Valen, as well as four district psychiatric centres (DPS). Haugesund is a city on the western coast of  Norway and is the regional center for 110.000 inhabitants. Haugesund Hospital is a general public hospital, located in the city of Haugesund. It is a part of the teaching facility network of Regional Health Authority of Western Norway.

Clinic for mental health care and substance abuse has several full-time permanent positions available for psychiatrists in Haugesund, Stord, Valen and Odda. Our clinic is the largest in Helse Fonna with over 1000 employees. You will be working alongside other professionals such as specialists in psychology, psychiatric nurses, social workers, doctors in specialization and specialists in clinical pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Norwegian specialist authorization as a Psychiatrist
  
• The applicant must have relevant hospital work experience.
• Experience with patients suffering from substance abuse is preferred
• If you do not currently speak Norwegian, you must be willing to learn the language and achieve minimum B2 level (written and spoken) prior to employment. The hospital can assist with language training.
